  • Sex therapy, which is talk therapy, is a specialized form of psychotherapy. Sex therapy addresses biological, psychological, and social factors affecting your sex life, as it pertains to yourself, or in the context of dating or in a relationship. Collaboratively, we explore the factors that brought you to therapy, and provide education, guidance, and support to identify options for overcoming obstacles, problem solving, and building coping strategies.

    The American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) is the organization that certifies individuals as Certified Sex Therapists.

  • I work with both individuals and couples, including individuals looking for a partner, individuals in relationships, and couples.

  • No, I do not participate with any insurance plans. However, I can provide you with an insurance compatible billing statement if you would like to submit to your insurance provider.

  • Individual sessions are 50 minutes and couples sessions are 60 minutes.

  • Sessions can be either in person or via zoom, whichever is your preference.

  • The purpose of the call is to answer any questions you may have and to determine if we might be a good fit. Examples of topic often discussed are: what are your goals for therapy, have you been to therapy before and what was or was not helpful, my therapeutic approach, etc.

  • By law all information discussed in therapy is confidential. The two exceptions to this are:

    • Concerns around harm to yourself or otters

    • Suspicion of harm or mistreatment to children or elderly persons
